Hello, I am Suk-Jin Yoon, the president of
BK21 FOUR Institute of Earth, Atmosphere, Astronomy
at Yonsei University.

The BK21 (Brain Korea 21) program was initiated in 1999 to foster the world-class graduate program and future leaders in science and engineering, and our institute has joined the 4th phase in 2021. Through the support of the BK21 program, our institute earns an international reputation in graduate education and research.

With the slogan of "Earth & Universe 2050", our institute aims to build up a world-class education and research cluster to resolve scientific and social issues and benefit our society. In particular, we focus on fostering professionals with so-called “warm intelligence - intelligence for humanity” to resolve the challenges of environmental and natural disasters by providing diverse scholarships and training programs.
